ABOUT
MARK SAMSEL

After ten years and making partner with Lathrop GPM LLP (formerly Lathrop Gage LLP) in Kansas City, Mark Samsel returned home to found Samsel Law LLC in 2020. While Mark enjoyed serving large clients across the United States, he desired more flexibility to serve the people, communities, and small businesses who had helped raise him as well.

By maintaining a low overhead, Samsel Law LLC can better fight for clients in ways that large firms cannot. This leads to results based more on merits, rather than the enormous expense of litigation. Samsel Law LLC prides itself on delivering unparalleled value for its clients, with the right mix of vigorous -- yet level-headed and targeted -- advocacy. Clients benefit from the talent, insight, and skill of a national firm lawyer, but with the values and costs that can be found only on the bricks of Main Street.

Mark Samsel puts the interests and well-being of his clients first. He values trust, long-term relationships, and doing the right thing above all else. To accomplish these things, Mark places utmost importance on communication, especially the hard conversations necessary to build and sustain the foregoing principles. “It’s not just what we say; it’s how we say it.”

Regardless of what your situation is, Mark can offer you a candid evaluation, including what your next best steps may be. One thing always holds true: You are better off seeking guidance sooner rather than later. The longer a situation or problem persists, the harder it may be to right the ship, in addition to the added stress, anxiety, and uncertainty you may face with each passing day. To this end, Mark enjoys guiding individuals and businesses, large and small, on the front end before disputes arise.

He also enjoys assisting clients once problems arise, which is his primary practice area: civil litigation. His extensive experience with conflict resolution and civil disputes helps clients achieve their end-goals in the most cost-effective manner possible. Equally helpful, if your situation would be better served by counsel elsewhere, Mark will advise you accordingly. His ability to be selective when accepting clients ensures that your issues will matter.

Outside of his law practice, Mark is proud to serve as State Representative for Kansas House District 5. This provides clients with unique insight into the legislative process. Mark finds time whenever he can to support the youth in his area, as well as his alma maters -- Missouri Valley College (2007 graduate, B.S., Business Administration & Political Science) and the University of Kansas (2010 graduate, J.D.) -- and the Kansas City Chiefs, Sporting KC, and the Kansas City Royals.

Whatever your issue may be, Samsel Law LLC will offer its best efforts to lead you in the right direction.
